After two years of silence, Geely's Jiming Motorcycle suddenly released two latest 500 displacement SUV models, JM500, on June 18th in Wenling, Zhejiang Province, without anyone being prepared. They are divided into aluminum wheel and mesh wheel versions, named after the words Qi and Lin respectively, symbolizing good luck.

The brand Jiming may not be well-known to many, but it is a sub brand of Geely along with Qianjiang and Benelli. Geely initially started by making motorcycles. Nowadays, Jiming mainly engages in the production and sales of domestic and foreign scooters, pedal motorcycles, and electric bicycles. The JM500 from Jiming has a relatively high degree of originality in its exterior design, with its slender bird beak forming a set of parallel upward lines with the shape of the front, body, and fuel tank. And we found that this JM500 mesh wheel version seems to be tailor-made for tall people over 1.75 meters in height, with a sitting height of 825mm that is not low, and most importantly, ample legroom, without giving people the feeling of squatting on the toilet.

The JM500 mesh wheel version features 19 inch front and 17 inch vacuum spoke wheels, equipped with Tensen all terrain tires, and combined with a ground clearance of 175mm and good weight control, it boasts impressive off-road performance.

The JM500's body surround design is exceptionally full, looking like an angry bird from the side. Compared to conventional ADVs, there are no obvious gaps between the front wheels and the body, and the same 19 inch front wheels also reflect a more atmospheric effect, so we affectionately call it the "Bigfoot Bird"

The engine is equipped with a 472cc asynchronous dual cylinder water-cooled eight valve engine provided by Gaojin Power, which is also the first time this power platform has appeared on models other than Gaojin****** The power is 31.5kw/8500rpm, the torque is 40N.m/6750rpm, and the maximum speed matched with Dell electronic fuel injection is 160km/h. It can be seen that Gaojin still has reservations about the engines sold to the outside world.

The whole car is equipped with LED light source and TFT full-color LCD instrument panel, which is currently the mainstream configuration level in the same class. The backlit handle buttons and Benelli use the same matching system< br/>

The aluminum alloy rear rocker arm adopts a hollow design similar to KTM on the back, with an internal geometric stress structure that ensures structural strength and achieves lightweight goals< br/>

The JM500 has a well controlled body weight, with a curb weight of 205 kilograms. It seems that it has not learned the traditional Qianjiang lead injection technique. Moreover, when you ride on it to straighten the body, you will find that the body weight is far from 200 kilograms, and it is very easy to shake the body left and right while sitting on the car. This leaves the editor puzzled, and no car manufacturer would be foolish enough to falsely report the weight of a car!

Finally, in terms of the crucial driving mechanism of the entire vehicle, the configuration of JM500 is relatively high among vehicles in the same class, with front manually adjustable inverted shock absorbers and rear multi link central shock absorbers. The brake is equipped with front dual disc four piston calipers and rear single disc single piston calipers, and comes standard with front and rear dual channel ABS.

In addition to removing the prominent feature of the bird beak, the front and rear wheels have also been replaced with more sporty and flexible 17 inch aluminum wheels, and the tires are equipped with 180 inch Tengsen high grip tires. No longer need to deal with complex road conditions, and in order to cater to the difficulty of getting started for beginners, we have replaced the shock absorbers with shorter travel distances, reducing the seat height to 815mm and making the price more affordable.

The new car released this time has also made significant progress in terms of paint water, using automotive grade German BASF baking paint, which has a skin friendly feel and is not easily faded.

Brand new Freire inverted tricycle

At the beginning, Jiming also relied on Freier, the first domestically produced three wheeled motorcycle, which became popular and was the pioneer of domestic three wheeled motorcycles. Now the factory has redesigned the body proportions and appearance, and will officially launch the all-new Freire in the second half of the year.

It adopts a single cylinder 300cc water-cooled engine, matched with a CVT transmission system, and has forward and reverse gears. The front wheels on both sides are equipped with two independent double wishbone suspensions, and wider car tires are used in both front and rear.
